Music has quit James Blunt

In an unprecedented move, music recently called it a day on its endeavour with James Blunt.

The announcement came at a press conference on Wednesday morning, with Music initially citing 'irreconcilable differences'. When asked to elaborate on this by the reporter present, Music spoke of the Back in Bed singer's self indulgent attitude and reluctance to "act less middle class and maybe let a rapper do the verse" on new material.

Music then went on to confirm they had become involved in projects with some of the UK's hot new talent, specifically going on to cite Jake Bugg as "particularly exciting" and adding that "what the industry needs right now is a less credible version of Bob Dylan with better hair"

In what is believed to be an attempt to remain relevant in the eyes of the British public, Blunt announced that he had begun work with Environmental Awareness. The pair had been spotted outside a central London Waitrose earlier in the week, kick-starting rumours regarding Blunt's relationship with Music.

Lady Gaga Does A Controversial Thing

Criticism has once again been directed at Lady Gaga after it was confirmed by her agent that she did a controversial thing at her most recent concert.

The spokeswoman has been quoted as saying: "Lady Gaga is an artist who challenges the norms of society and this controversial thing clearly displays that." This fits in with the earlier pledge of the "Born Like This" singer to do 7 more controversial things before the end of the year, in an attempt to break her personal record of 19.

Fan made videos of the controversial thing have already reached over 3 million views on Youtube although feedback from the comments section has been mixed. Positive remarks include those from Youtube user "littlem0nsterxx", who said:

"lady gaga is the best musician and singer ever and all the people who dont understand her art when she does a controversial thing liek this are stupid :("

However this has been offset by other users such as "ColdplayAppreciator1" who wrote:

"Lady Gaga has only done this controversial thing to cover up her lack of creativity or any decent songs. Its clear from the spelling and grammer of her so called fans that there ability to understand good music is non-existant. Grow up and listen to real music."

Whatever side of the debate you pick, it looks like Lady Gaga's controversial things are here to stay, making it harder for Nicki Minaj to claim the Queen of Quirk title from her long lost sister and nemesis.

Prime Minister David Cameron is rumoured to have called Adele personally to wish her and the new arrival well, while Ed Miliband took to Facebook in a rush to seem relevant.

Sources close to the hospital have also reported that the youngster is already shaping up to have some of Adele's talent, with one nurse saying: "I knew from the bland, predictable cries that this could only be the child of my favourite singer."

It is still unclear whether the piano is a girl or a boy, or if it will make an appearance at the premier of the new Bond film, for which Adele sings the theme dirge.
